Whatever the voice production, Lisa Erhard's charismatic vocal delivery both interests and maintains the listener's attention… Bitten early on by the " Acting Bug " coupled with a vital sense of fun very early in life, Lisa Erhard has been featured in a variety of both comedic stage and audio productions starting as early as elementary school. A sound enthusiast, as well as musically trained, earning her a bachelors degree in music, she innately understands the intimate connection between sound, emotion, the written word and the power that can come through that medium. Erhard has been writing lyrics since childhood and remains fascinated by the magical interplay between words that really "work" with the music. As a child, the tape recorder became her best friend, availing her many hours of fun, as she recorded interviews and was featured on WBAI in NY with an outstanding program about environmental concerns. An avid "interviewer" from early on, Erhard conducting many candid street and phone interviews about both meaningful and entertaining topics. She also improvised quite a few plays with friends and would rehearse and read lines with her earliest and most inspirational acting role model: actress Anna Nelson, (who also happened to be the model for the half dollar and famous statue outside of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.) Trained in acting from a young age up to the present, she has studied and teamed up with outstanding coaches and voice over professionals including, Sara Farwell at SUNY Purchase college, Moya Phillips in Manhattan, and Bill Kates in Massachusetts. She continues her voice acting in commercials and radio spots featured both nationally and internationally, as well as narration and comedic work that she masterfully weaves into her original music selling worldwide. Commited to deliver excellence in each and every production, Lisa Erhard imparts integrity, clarity, charismatic wit, warmth, and sincerity with her distinctively soothing yet direct style. She's versatile in style, from comedic to straight ahead reads. Her daily life includes the use of character voices with her kids to keep things fun and entertaining. An experienced piano teacher as well, she is constantly aware of the power of her voice in imparting instruction to her students, so that the information is inspiring, and clearly understood without being boring. An art she's refined and crafted which serves her well with all voice over applications. |
